NIC brought BAXTER, the collaborative robot, to the Science Fair from Tuesday 30. August afternoon to 1. September 2016 as part of our Kiwi Innovator Series.
We had over 150 young & mature, curious minds, checking out Baxter, flying drones, learning about induction power and other fun science projects.
The Science Fair displayed over 250 amazing science projects by youth from Northland. The ideas ranged from mining asteriods, azolla fern based bio-fertiliser, ion wind generation, social housing for Auckland, cow manure plant pots, self-rocking prams, novel honey concepts and to many more awesome ideas. The sheer intellectual power seen at the Fair was very encouraging. These young people will make a huge difference to Northland and shape an excting future for them and their fellow Northlanders.
Check out Baxter in Northland in the media.
Thank you for supporting youth talent in Northland.
